VEDH'S POV:
The sun was not yet out and it was still dark in the sky as it was just four in the morning and we had to leave for my village
I sat on the couch tying my shoes waiting for my wife to come out of the wardrobe since last half an hour, I don't know what has been taking so much time
I sighed straightening up as my laces were done but I didn't stand as my Pearl is still in there and I don't want to make her hurry
Especially when she is getting ready.
She loves getting ready and I love her so there is no way I am going to make her hurry up that part of the day even if it means getting late
Also we are just going to my village not to a meeting with President and even if it was a meeting with the President, I would still not ask her to hurry up
All my time is for her.
And it will only take four hours to reach my village that too because it is in another district, Patiala. Patiala is almost 237 kilometers from Amritsar
I took out my phone to check which route is going to be better today and I was just checking it when the door of closet opened with a click sound making me look up instantly because I knew it was her, Pearl
But the moment I lifted my eyes, I stilled.
Not only me but everything around me stilled as if forgetting how to function properly, even I seemed to have forgotten how to inhale properly then how do I blame other things for their malfunctioning
My heart skipped the beats with the rate of dozens and my mind didn't know if it could send my eyes the message to look away from the sight
My eyes were wide looking at the walking dream and my mouth agap in shock and greed that I felt a drop of my saliva dripping down
I cleared my throat snapping out of my haze when I heard a soft giggle that belonged to her, obviously she saw the saliva dripping out of my mouth
I wiped the corner of my mouth looking at her still blinking trying to process that this was really her, the woman who preferred even covering her arms
And here she was wearing a pink sari that complemented her skin like it was manufactured after seeing her
The neckline was not too deep but enough to have me or any sane man whipped over and those small sleeves on her milky arms
I was dying seeing them. Argh.
She was not wearing much of the jewelry just the bangles that clinked making it hard to focus on anything else, gold studs, our engagement ring and that mangalsutra that rested over her fair neck making me want to wrap my finger around it
No wonder I chose the sari but I had not imagined her in it, I have never practically saw her in a sari except our sangeet night and then also she had ran away so I couldn't see her properly
Her hair were left open like kept like that to match the rhythm of my fluttering heart and those facial features
I swear they were as innocent as ever so on one hand I wanted to kiss her raw and on the other hand I wanted to admire that innocence on her face
I was still staring at her with the eyes that scanned her from top to bottom when she cleared her throat before whispering, tone still a bit hesitant
I was still staring at her with the eyes that scanned her from top to bottom when she cleared her throat before whispering, tone still a bit hesitant
"Thik nahi hai?"
("Isn't it okay?")
It was more than okay, finest than anything.
But maybe she thought I was staring at her because I didn't like her like that way and I could do anything but let her think that way so I stepped forward until I was standing right in front of her, towering over her delicately small figure and so close that she could feel my breath over her head
She once glanced at me and before she could even look down again I held her wrist, not tight enough to hurt but firm enough to stop
Her bangles clinked beautifully as I kept her palm flat on the left side of my chest, above my heart over the fabric of my shirt
I knew she could feel the fastened beating of my heart and that was the exact reason her fair cheeks were flushed red as she glanced between her palm beneath mine, above my heart and my face
I could only stand there with a small smile as I looked at her softly tilting my head affectionately without a word
We didn't need words between us, I conveyed my message by action and she understood it without needing the words
The silence between us in that moment was love.
Then with a bit of hesitation like always Heer looked into my eyes tilting her head slightly as if asking 'Really?', her big eyes shining with happiness
My smile widen before I nodded making her smile shyly, I just love when she looks away like this with a shy smile and blush
"I will go see Reva"
Retreating her palm softly Heer ran out of the room with that shy smile while all I could do was smile like a teenager first time in love
Though this is my first time in love.
POV ends.
~Mr. & Mrs. Aashrit Thakur~
Meanwhile in Reva and Aashrit's room, Reva was struggling with the fabric of her heavy sari. She couldn't gather the pleats at once and now her frustration was bubbling with each passing second
It was already past 4:00 AM, and the sky outside was a deep, dark indigo, heavy with the scent of upcoming rain. They were getting late for the departure and Reva was not even ready yet, frantically trying to adjust the pleats of her sari
She was already nervous handling the fabric because she never had to carry a sari like this before and adding more to her nervousness were the hushed voices of all other family members outside
She was struggling with the final safety pin or a loose thread when she hears the door click. It was Aashrit. He was already dressed for the journey, looking effortlessly handsome
Aashrit stopped in his tracks the moment he saw her. The playful, sleepy smile on his face completely vanished, replaced by a stunned, heavy silence
Reva noticed him staring and flushed furiously red, her hands freezing on her waist as she asked
"Aashrit... stop looking at me like that. Is the saree looking weird? I can't get the pleats right, and everyone is waiting-"
Aashrit didn't say a word. He walked over with steady, quiet steps until he was standing right in her space. The humidity in the air makes his proximity feel even warmer
Instead of answering, he reaches down. His large, warm fingers gently cover her trembling ones, replacing her hands on her waist. Reva catches her breath, her eyes widening as he took the pleats from her hands and skillfully tucks them into the waistband for her petticoat
"It's done"
He murmured standing up, his voice a deep, gravelly whisper right against the shell of her ear so sensually that she seemed to lose herself in that silence
Her eyes fluttered close as she felt Aashrit remove her hair from her neck and leave a trail of kissed towards her shoulder
"Aa...shrit, we need to go"
She whispered breathlessly with no real intention of pushing him away and even Aashrit didn't stop instead his arm reaches for her waist as he pulled her more into his chest
"The departure can wait"
Whispering against her soft skin, he leaned down, burying his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling the sweet, familiar scent of her skin mixed with the humid morning air
A helpless, beautiful shiver ran down Reva's spine, her fingers instinctively reaching back to grip his forearms
"Aashrit..." she breathed, her voice trembling.
He lifts his head just enough to look at her serene face glowing even in the dark, a soft, breathless smile touching his lips
"You look entirely devastating, Jaan. It's four in the morning, and you've already ruined my focus for the entire day"
He stated still standing in Reva's personal space, his gaze drops to her lips for a heavy, lingering second before he leans in and presses a soft, slow kiss right to the corner of her mouth—not rushing, just letting the warmth of it anchor them both
He pulled back just an inch caressing Reva's cheeks with deep adoration before he whispered again, a bit of playfulness visible in his tone
"If you stay this close to me every time" he whispers, his voice dropping an octave, "I might just survive the village trip"
That was the last stray and a full, genuinely deep smile bloomed across Reva's face as she stared at the man who knew how to keep her smiling
Their moment broke by the sudden knock on the door, the sharp sound broke through the soft silence between the couple
Reva flinched before stepping back while Aashrit scratched the back of his neck with a sly smile looking at his wife's moving figure
As Reva opened the door she saw Heer standing there and as soon as Heer saw Reva, she scanned her from up to down looking at the perfectly tied sari
"Reva how did you manage to-?"
Heer was just asking it when her eyes fell on Aashrit standing behind Reva and the soft flush of Reva's cheeks made it obvious that how did she manage to tie the sari
"Ohhhhhh"
Heer stretched that one word with a mischievous smile and teasing tone making heat rush to Reva's cheeks as she bit her lower lip
"Let's go we are getting late"
Saying this Heer left with a soft gentle smile shaking her head making Reva smile as well, before the couple gathered their stuff and walked downstairs
~Mr.& Mrs. Vedh Singh Oberoi~
As all the people walked towards the main door, ready to leave everyone except Smita and Chhavi touched Shakti ji and Sudha ji's feet to take the blessing
And Vedh said to Saket, the firmness in his tone was back
"Saket ask the drivers to start the cars"
Saket nodded without a word and walked out with everyone else following a few steps back, servants walking behind with the luggage
Soon everyone settled in the respective cars and the vehicles left one by one for the village.
Only one hour had passed, Heer and Vedh sat along side in the back seat as driver drove through the smooth roads of highway
They had not spoken a single word since they sat only a few shared glances here & there and as the silence was too peaceful, Heer couldn't help but doze off quietly
Her eyes shutting due to the tiredness of yesterday, first the shopping and then because of packing she had slept late above that she woke up too early this morning
Heer's body leaned towards the window because of her eyes heavy with sleep, Vedh noticed and before Heer's face could touch the edge of the window of car, his arm wrapped around her shoulder and because Heer was in deep sleep, she didn't notice
Vedh hesitated for a moment, thinking about Heer's comfort but because she was sleeping very soundly he very carefully kept her head on his chest as it couldn't reach his shoulder
Now they were sitting close, too close to each other with Vedh's arm draped around her shoulder and her head resting softly over the side of his chest
All Vedh could do was admire his wife sleeping peacefully in his arms for the first time, looking at her peacefully beautiful face he imagined a day when everyday he will wake up beside her
When he will wake up and she would be lying in his arms with her whole heart, she would wake up and smile at him softly, when they would lie closer and she will not hesitate, she would look in his eyes without pushing him away
Even imagining the scene brought a soft smile on his sharp features, his face softened as he held Heer like something precious needed to be taken care of
Three more hours passed and Heer kept sleeping while Vedh couldn't bring himself to wake her up, even when the roads were harsh, he held her from any unnecessary movement
After a few more minutes the car stopped in front of a big beautiful, ancient haveli. It was old, yes but still attracting
The three vehicles drove inside the premises of Oberoi Haveli with ease. As Vedh and Heer's car rolled to stop in front of the haveli still far from the bustle at the entrance, Vedh looked down at Heer
She was sleeping peacefully, too peacefully.
He didn't want to wake her up just yet and an idea crossed his mind, could he just pick her up and take her inside the house
But as the idea came, it left just like that because another thought crossed his mind that what if she woke up as soon as he picked her up
What if she didn't like him touching her? or what if she got embarrassed in front of the whole family and he would want anything but for her to feel embarrassed
He couldn't ruin her first impression and it was more about her comfort, so he thought to wake her up
"Pearl"
Vedh whispered softly and just by the soft whisper, Heer woke up at once blinking at the surrounding and that's when she noticed that they were here
"I...I am-"
She was about to apologize for dozing off helplessly and without any knowledge so deeply but she was cut off softly by Vedh who knew what was coming
"Don't apologize Pearl, I don't like that coming from you"
His voice was soft as always but still firm while Heer blinked softly before nodding softly, Vedh was about to get off the car when suddenly he felt a hand wrapping around his
He turned around only to see a red Heer who glanced at him and pushing her hair back asked softly, hesitatingly
"Do I...Do I look soggy from the sleep?"
Vedh smiled softly at the question before shaking his head in no making Heer press her lips in a thin line trying to hide the small shy smile tugging at her lips
Then Vedh stepped out to the fresh and cold air of village, smelling of wet soil and first rain before he walked to Heer's side opening the door for her
He offered her his hand which she took without hesitation and stepped out looking mesmerized at the haveli and the greenery around it
Then all of them walked to the already crowded entrance, Smita Saket and Chhavi always the excited ones ran to the members of their extended family who stood there for a welcome
Saket touched all their feet while Smita and Chhavi simply greeted them with wide smiles before standing aside near the other cousins giving space to the new couples
First Reva and Aashrit stepped forward touching everyone's feet with warm smiles and behind them Heer and Vedh repeated the same before everyone started introducing themselves with great excitement
"I am your younger aunt in law"
Said a lady with wide smile holding both Heer's and Reva's hands while unintentionally pushing Aashrit and Vedh aside who just sighed in sync
Heer glanced up at the lady with a smile and Reva did the same both carrying the soft expressions of a newly wed bride
"And I am her daughter"
Chimed a young girl who was standing near Smita and from behind them a pregnant lady with a swollen belly spoke with the same excitement
"And I am your elder sister in law"
Both Reva and Heer kept acknowledging each one's faces as they all introduced themselves one by one
"I am your younger brother in law"
"I am your niece"
"I am your neighbor aunt"
"And I am her daughter"
The voices kept ringing filled with excitement and happiness until a deep feminine voice cut all of them
"Arre let them come inside"
The crowd parted falling completely silent as an old lady stepped forward with a small smile looking at Vedh
Her aura was positive yet heavy and it was not difficult to tell by looking at her that she was Vedh's grandmother, Aanya Kaur
Both the couples walked forward and took Aanya ji's blessings one by one, as Vedh and Heer touched her feet she kept her palms on both their heads and smiled
As they stood up she caressed their cheeks with utter warmth, Vedh's lips curved in the slightest smile before he asked
"How are you dadi?"
Aanya ji sighed softly and replied
"How could I be after seeing my grandson after a whole ten years? Of course I am happy"
Her smile eased, not faded or disappeared just eased at her lips. Her eyes then darted to Heer and looking at her who was looking down she again said
"Even more happy I should say, after all you've brought a beautiful wife with you this time"
Heer's cheeks flushed softly upon hearing the praise while Vedh's smile widen and he looked down at Heer giving the subtlest nod
Before anyone could say anything, Aanya ji's eyes went to Aashrit and she turned around to him before saying playfully spreading her arms
"Tu tan thandak paa mere kol"
("You come and hug me")
Aashrit chuckled before he walked to Aanya ji and hugged her tightly, this was a phrase they often used in their childhood as Aashrit used to say that hugging Aanya ji gives him peace
Reva standing behind only smiled looking at the warmth of their bond, backing away from the hug Aanya ji scanned Reva from top to bottom making her a bit conscious before her lips twitched in amusement and she teased Aashrit
"Inni soni kudi te hanth kithon paa gya tera?"
("How did you get such a beautiful girl?")
Reva bit her lips to hide the shy smile looking down at the floor drowning in shyness and Aashrit scratched the back of his neck with a wide smile
Standing at the side of Vedh, Heer could only smile softly hearing the warm exchange but she was unaware that someone's whole world had crumbled to her one smile
Vedh.
He was looking at her with a soft smile, his heart fluttered every time Heer's lips curved or her cheeks tinted red
"Let's go sit in the living room"
Aanya ji suggested walking already towards the large living room of the haveli with everyone following behind
As everyone settled around the large sofas and the youngsters slumped on the carpet, the endless chatter began
"How many months?"
Reva asked with a smile to Diya, the pregnant lady from before looking at her belly and she replied with soft eyes keeping a palm on her stomach
"7, day after tomorrow is the baby shower"
Reva then asked her several more questions, her curiosity and excitement never coming to an end
"How does it feels to hold a life within you?"
She asked softly and Diya glancing at her belly replied, gently
"It can't be really explained in words, you'll know once you hold it within you"
Reva only smiled at the gentle and mature reply when Aashrit who had heard the whole exchange sitting beside her, leaned towards her ear glancing at the family to see if anyone is looking at them and no one was
As his breath hit Reva's hair, she became conscious of his presence and leaned to him expecting something important but then
"You know we can make a baby if you want to feel it"
He sounded husky & teasing, Reva's eyes widen and she glanced at Aashrit who sat with the most casual expressions when her cheeks were burning with embarrassment
What if someone had heard?
She looked around only to find everyone engrossed in their own conversations, she then sighed gulping down the embarrassment though her cheeks still burned
~Author~
Meanwhile sitting close to Aanya ji, Heer was getting interrogated by her, every question she asked brought a next level of nervousness into her
"So do you want to complete your studies?"
Aanya ji asked seriously, Heer caught the silent intimidation in her voice and she gulped softly
"I do"
As Heer breathed out softly, Aanya ji nodded while Vedh sensed Heer's nervousness radiating from her
To make her feel comfortable and assured, Vedh without letting anyone notice quietly held her hand that rested over the sofa
Heer knew the touch, she had felt it and her heart beat spiked but she still felt comfortable and less afraid
"Arre where is Nidhi and Maya, they were so excited after hearing that Vedh and Aashrit are arriving and now they are no where to be seen?"
Aanya ji asked looking towards the younger crowd while Heer and Reva's ears perked hearing girls' names who were too excited to meet 'their husbands'
Both the girls exchanged a silent glance, Reva rose her brow in question while Heer only shrugged as if saying 'even she doesn't know'
"Arre Dadi they must be coming, taking extra time getting ready to look presentable"
Heer and Reva's eyes narrowed in sync as they heard those words coming from Diya and they instantly knew something was wrong with the two girls
"Oh Maya, she must be grown up till now"
Aashrit chimed in the conversation with a bright smile talking about Maya with great interest while Reva's eyes snapped to her husband in a split second, her teeth clenching hearing the tone he just used for another girl that was not her
"Bhaiya grown up? She has turned out to be the most gorgeous girl of our area, but she is still on number two because number one is Nidhi di"
Answered one of the younger female cousins and Reva's jaw clenched even more seeing the small amused smile lingering on Aashrit's face, her fingers curling so tightly into her dupatta that her knuckles turned white
She was visibly angry, but Aashrit didn't notice.
Not good for him.
"Huh I still remember how these four used to play household and Maya would always fight to become Aashrit's wife while Nidhi the always quieter one became Vedh's wife silently"
Reva's brows rose very subtly as if mocking Aashrit 'Wife?', unnoticed by Aashrit, while at the mention of someone else being Vedh's wife even Heer looked up at Vedh
Who was looking at her, completely uninterested and unbothered by any girl or any conversation about any other girl
Heer could barely keep the happy smile on her face hidden as she looked down again while Reva's anger was flaring with each second
Just then two girls entered the hallway wearing suits, one seemed very excited and chirping while the other one was calm and shy
It was easy to predict that the calm girl was Nidhi and the chirping one was Maya.
Reva noticed as they touched everyone's feet and she glanced at Aashrit who was looking at Maya with a small smile
She tried to gulp down her anger but couldn't and seeing Maya talking so freely with Aashrit like they were something close, didn't set well with her so she stood up making an excuse of important call and she left towards the garden area
~Mr. & Mrs. Vedh Singh Oberoi~
The laugh continued and Nidhi sat just in front of Vedh talking with Aanya ji, Heer who had seen Reva leave in anger was trying to suppress her giggle when her eyes fell on Nidhi
Throwing shy glances at her husband with that damn smile, her heart clenched and her smile vanished just in seconds
Nidhi was beautiful, very beautiful just as that cousin had said maybe even more beautiful than herself and the thought sent a pang of jealousy through her
Heer noticed Nidhi's facial features, her etiquette and the grace she carried, how subtly she smiled and just how perfect everything about her was
But Nidhi's smile faltered the moment her eyes fell on Vedh's palm resting on Heer's, Heer noticed and a proud feeling took place in her heart
"How are you Vedh?"
Finally Nidhi asked, gathering her courage looking up at Vedh's face and that's when Vedh's eyes darted away from Heer towards her
He didn't smile, he didn't nod, he just replied, straight and clear
"I am good, even married now"
His message was clear in his words but Nidhi seemed not to notice the change of his tone, she seemed to ignore it
"You seemed to have changed, maybe even forgotten me"
Nidhi said forcing a fake smile, her voice dripping with honey as she spoke, low and desperate but Vedh wasn't taking it
"Change is the rule this universe and only special people make it to your heart and memory"
By special people, Vedh had meant by Heer because she was the only one he remembered now, sleeping, eating, working, resting, every time and Nidhi understood it
Meanwhile Heer, the sweet and soft Heer was practically throwing glares at Nidhi but still feeling proud of her husband's reply
~Mr. & Mrs. Aashrit Thakur~
As the everyone got engrossed in hearing Nidhi and Vedh's conversation, Aashrit had quietly slipped out towards the garden where Reva just went
Reaching to the garden, he saw Reva pacing around and taking heavy breaths trying to calm the angry storm building inside her
Walking to her behind, Aashrit hugged Reva from behind stopping her in the tracks and for a moment Reva stilled, her eyes closed as she felt peace
But then Reva pushed out of Aashrit's arms and standing in front of his with crossed arms, she snapped mocking him
"What are you doing here, jaiye na apni Maya ke paas"
("Go to your Maya")
Hearing the anger in her tone, Aashrit chuckled understanding exactly what had happened to her before he replied leaning to her height with a cheeky smile
"Apni? Meri toh bas aap hain Little bloom"
("Mine? Only you are mine little bloom")
Reva didn't take his cheesy reply and she huffed turning around not stepping back
"Par dekh kar khush toh usko ho rahe the"
("But you were getting happy seeing her")
Aashrit let out another chuckle before he turned her around by shoulder and even then she refused to look at him
"She is just a childhood friend Reva"
He assured her but Reva was far too angry for his tiny assurances and just when Aashrit opened his mouth to say something, another voice interrupted
"Aashrit"
The voice was irritatingly loud and chirping making Reva roll her eyes, Aashrit didn't turn around either but Reva saw, the glass of water in Maya's hands
Her anger flared and following was her straight punjabi, a dialogue from a famous movie but still genuine
"Na je mere hubby nu kisi ne cha paani pucheya, main ni vekhna kide pra de sale di poti aa main khadkaun"
("If anyone asked my hubby for tea for water, I won't see whose brother's brother in law's granddaughter it is, I will handle it properly")
Her tone was warning half towards Maya and half towards Aashrit who clearly seemed intimidated while Maya's steps faltered just as her smile
Both Aashrit and Reva expected Maya to leave after that but she didn't, instead
"Really Reva?"
Aashrit turned around while Reva just peeked only to see Maya standing there with wide eyes and fake angry face
Reva was not the one to step back, she was never the one to step back. Back then she was quiet because there were elders and other people but right now no one was here so Reva stepped forward passing by Aashrit casually, arms still folded
She rose her brows asking Maya to go on and explain what she meant
"Your thinking is so cheap that you think a girl who is your husband's friend can snatch him away from him"
Reva's eyes narrowed hearing that as if daring Maya to even try doing something like that with her husband
"No offence but Aashrit I think you shouldn't have married her, instead I would have been a better wife-"
Before she could even complete that sentence or Reva can snap at her properly Aashrit's loud voice rang through the garden, angry this time
"Enough Maya. You have no right to say something like that, Reva is my wife, the one I love and no one I repeat no one can disrespect her. She can say anything she wants to me and I will obey her without a single argument even if it meant stop talking to an old friend. She is always my first priority"
Reva stared at Aashrit with wide eyes, she had never seen him this much angry and here he was feeling disrespected at her disrespect
Hearing Aashrit's words brought tears in Maya's eyes and she turned away leaving the garden quietly weeping
Aashrit turned to Reva who was staring at him till now and blinked out of her world turning away, quietly saying
"I have still not forgotten the way you smiled at her before"
And with that Reva also left the garden leaving Aashrit sigh heavily to himself.
~Mr. & Mrs. Vedh Singh Oberoi~
After a few hours of continuous chatter, everyone stood up as asked by Aanya ji to have lunch with the new couples
As everyone settled around the table and servants started serving, Heer who was sitting beside Vedh stood up to serve him as always but before she could even lift a finger, Nidhi had taken hold of the bowl
She served Vedh with practiced ease like she does this everyday, like she is Vedh's wife and Vedh, he didn't stop her, he didn't even notice her serving him
But Heer did.
And she didn't like someone else serving her husband when it should be only her right, with a heavy heart and down cast eyes Heer settled back, her mind far from the dining table
She didn't serve herself, she didn't even reach for any food item instead she sighed and gathering courage looked at Aanya ji
"Dadi ji I am....I am not feeling quite well can I...can I rest for a while?"
Her voice was hesitant like always but there was something shifted in her because right now all she could picture was the scene when Nidhi served Vedh and he didn't stop her
Deep down she was fearing what if he regrets marrying her leaving the beautiful friend he had since childhood
"Yes child, go rest in your room and come back in the evening as my sister is to arrive"
As soon as Aanya ji said this, Heer stood up with a nod and slipped out without a single word no one noticed because Heer was always this quite except two people
Reva and Vedh.
Reva knew because she had seen Heer since their childhood and she understood everything about her and Vedh knew because he had known her since she was born
Reva felt something was dull and Vedh felt the same. Because Heer hadn't eaten anything and left just like that, Vedh couldn't eat as well
Leaving his food, Vedh wiped his hands with napkin and stood up, looking at Aashrit he said
"Get up Aashrit we are leaving for the godown"
Aashrit whose mouth was stuffed with food and was staring at Reva to make it up to her looked at Vedh with wide eyes and said
"Buc I ham htill eatng"
("But I am still eating")
Vedh rolled his eyes before firmly ordering
"Eat later, now stand up I am waiting outside"
With that Vedh walked out of the haveli leaving everyone else in shock while Aashrit sighed and left behind Vedh
~Mrs. Heer Vedh Singh Oberoi~
Meanwhile in Heer's room, she lay carelessly across the bed on her stomach scratching the bedsheet with her nails as a soft pout rested on her lips
She was upset and angry. She couldn't process why she felt a pang of jealousy through her but it was there
Just then the door of her room opened with a click, she immediately sat up half expecting Vedh only to see Reva slipping inside closing the door behind her
Reva walked to the bed and sat quietly beside Heer who was not even looking at her, Reva knew exactly what was happening to Heer
"Jealous?"
Reva knew she was yet she asked softly, not teasing but asking while Heer's head snapped towards Reva before she sighed and nodded
Reva nodded as well thinking something before she spoke like a detective lying on her back, mattress dipping slightly under her weight
"Yeh Piddi aur Saya ka kuch to karna padega"
("We have to do something about this dwarf and spirit")
Heer didn't object, she knew Reva had seen all of it and now here she was offering comfort like always
"Par kya?"
("But what?")
Just then Reva's eyes sparkled and Heer knew something mischievous yet helpful was cooking in Reva's mind
Slowly Reva sat up straight and then smiled knowingly before she whispered
"Idea"
